About
Born and raised in Atlanta, GA, Mr. Christian Sotomayor graduated from Marist School in 2004. He attended Duke University in Durham, North Carolina and graduated in 2008 with a Bachelor of Arts in Public Policy Studies, a minor in History, and a certificate in Latin American Studies. While at Duke, Mr. Sotomayor connected with his Puerto Rican heritage and served on the board of the Latino Student Association. He also explored his interest in international development through internships abroad, including field research of microfinance programs in Tanzania. After graduation, Mr. Sotomayor spent a year in Quintana Roo, Mexico, helping to organize medical missions in the Mayan villages of the Yucatan Peninsula. He also worked as an immigration paralegal for a year at the Latin American Association in Atlanta, GA. He received his law degree from Georgia State University College of Law in May 2013, where he was the president of the Hispanic Student Bar Association during his second year. Mr. Sotomayor was admitted as a member of the Bar in Georgia in 2013 and subsequently became a member of the Bar in Texas in 2017. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his wife and children, the outdoors, and traveling. He is fully bilingual in English and Spanish.
