About
Charles W. Bone is a distinguished attorney and the founder and chairman of Bone McAllester Norton PLLC in Tennessee, where he brings over two decades of legal expertise to his diverse practice areas, including Financial Institutions, Healthcare, Joint Ventures, General Practice, and Personal Injury. Known as a “Trusted Adviser,” Charles excels in providing strategic counsel to clients navigating complex corporate and litigation challenges, particularly in high-stakes “bet the company” scenarios. His extensive experience encompasses leadership roles in both public and private sectors, as well as service as County Attorney for Sumner County, Tennessee, for more than 20 years. Charles has also acted as counsel to the Independent Bankers of Tennessee and is currently the General Counsel to the Tennessee Municipal Bond Fund. Before establishing Bone McAllester Norton in 2002, he led the Nashville offices of two regional law firms, solidifying his reputation as a formidable advocate in business formation, mergers and acquisitions, and financial law. Beyond his legal practice, Charles is deeply committed to promoting diversity within the legal profession, having spoken at numerous national forums on the recruitment and retention of minority attorneys. A dedicated community servant, he co-founded Salvus, Inc., which provides healthcare to uninsured individuals, and has been actively involved in political advocacy, notably defeating the 2009 “English Only” referendum in Nashville. Charles holds a strong family legacy in law, with both of his children following in his footsteps as attorneys. An avid runner, he has completed 40 half marathons across 15 states, including the inaugural Country Music Marathon in 2000 alongside his children.
