"Having grown up in the midst of my father's family business, I know how personal business planning is." Concentrating in the areas of Estate Administration and Estate Planning, Corporate and Business Planning, and Real Estate Transactions, as a member of the firm's Corporate and Estates Practice Group, Chuck Hadad is making a name for himself as an attorney who thrives on both complexity and variety. Chuck is well-versed and has assisted clients with the preparation of estate planning documents that fit their customized needs including revocable and irrevocable trusts, special needs trusts and charitable gift/trust planning. Chuck is also an experienced litigator for Orphans' Court, a niche specialty within the Estate Administration practice. Chuck has successfully represented fiduciaries in surcharge actions, defended will contests, and asserted claims on behalf of beneficiaries and other interested parties for breach of fiduciary duty in the course of estate and trust administration. Chuck's practice areas allow him the flexibility of counseling both individuals as well as businesses. He enjoys working one-on-one with clients to help them plan and see their goals through to completion. In the realm of Business law, Chuck helps clients with business formations, drafting and negotiating internal governance documents, and assists clients with the purchase or sale of their family business. Chuck has a Bachelor of Arts degree in History and Business Administration from the University of Pittsburgh. He earned his J.D. with Honors from The Thomas M. Cooley Law School in Lansing, Michigan, where he was a finalist for the Distinguished Student Award and received the Certificate of Merit in his Estate Planning course. Chuck is a member of the Pennsylvania and Allegheny County Bar Associations. Chuck is also on the Allegheny County Bar Association Probate & Trust Section Council and Pittsburgh Estate Planning Council. Prior to joining FGLM in June 2007, he clerked for another Allegheny County law firm and has also worked in numerous Western Pennsylvania jurisdictions including Washington, Westmoreland, Fayette, Butler, Bedford, Elk, Mercer, Cambria, and Erie Counties. Chuck is an active Pitt alumnus and enjoys attending various Pittsburgh Panther sporting events. A native of North Huntingdon, Chuck now resides in the South Hills, with his wife Angela and their daughter.
