Ms. Simon represents clients with their commercial real estate purchases, sales, leases, financing, and HOA and neighbor disputes. For nearly a decade, Ms. Simon has been specializing in commercial real estate transactions and litigation, title issues, foreclosure, bankruptcy proceedings, common interest development (HOAs), acquisition/disposition, and leasing. She also has trial experience and has litigated enforcement of contract, receivership, and bankruptcy adversary proceedings. Drawing upon her real estate litigation background, Ms. Simon is well-versed at pinpointing and mitigating potential risks in contracts, and setting a strategy for resolving conflicts that best matches with the client’s tolerance for risk. Prior to founding Strata Legal, she represented major financial institutions and mid-sized regional banks at a boutique law firm. Ms. Simon earned her Juris Doctorate degree with a Business Law Certification from the University of San Francisco, School of Law, and was admitted to the California State Bar in 2009. She graduated from Scripps College with honors in Politics and International Relations with a minor in Chinese, and studied Chinese at the Beijing Foreign Studies University. She began her legal advocacy work in the area of racial profiling and religious protections at the Asian Americans Advancing Justice-Asian Law Caucus. Originally from Hong Kong, Ms. Simon is fluent in Cantonese, and conversant in Mandarin. Ms. Simon is the past President of the Asian Business League of San Francisco. She is currently a member of the Contra Costa County Bar Association and belongs to its Solo Practice and Small Firm, Women, and Real Estate sections.
