About

Carmen is a trial attorney whose litigation career begain as a Captain in the JAG Corps of the US Army. He served as a defense attorney, Chief of Military Justice in Fort Polk, La. and a Defense Appellate Lawyer in the US Army Judiciary in Washington, DC. His litigation career continued as a trial attorney in Media Pa as a member of the firm of Kassab,Cherry, Curran and Archbold. He was a founding partner of the litigation firm of Cherry Ferrara Mutzel Belefonte and Wesner and Ferrara Belefonte McFadden and Curran. He later merged with his present firm of Saltz Mongeluzzi Barrett and Bendesky PC. His areas of concentration in litigation include medical malpractice, catastrophic injuries, premises liability involving fire and explosions, wrongful death and closed head injuries. Carmen is a Fellow of the presitigious American College of Trial Lawyers and Past President of the Pennsylvania Association of Justice and Delaware County Bar Association. He is is Solicitor for the Delaware Valley Regional Finance Authority and Chairmen of the Delaware County Board of Election where he has served for 30 years. He is also Solicitor for the Garrettford Drexel Hill Fire Company. Carmen has been active in his community where has served on numerous not for profit organizations including the Delaware County Communityh Foundation where he served as Chairman. He is presently a member of Delaware County CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates), an organization that protects the rights of abused and neglected foster children. He has been recognized both locally and state wide by organizations for his leadership and service to the legal profession and community. Carmen is a graduate of the University of Notre Dame and the Dickinson School of Law of Pennsylvania State University where he was Article Editor of the Dickinson Law Review and member of the Woolsack Honor Society. He lives with his wife Elke in Haverford, Pa. His many interests include skiing, photography, fly fishing and travel especially with his grandchildren. He is also a frequent visitor to Notre Dame football games in South Bend.
