Bryan Ray Berry is an accomplished estate planning attorney based in Missouri, currently practicing at Appleby Healy Attorneys at Law, P.C., where he joined the team in 2021. With a robust background in legal advocacy and a commitment to serving his clients, Bryan brings a wealth of experience to his practice. He previously served as Assistant Attorney General for the State of Missouri from 2017, further honing his skills in legal strategy and public service. A graduate of the University of Missouri-Columbia School of Law in 2002, Bryan distinguished himself as Senior Note and Comment Editor of the Missouri Law Review, where he published two articles, and earned accolades as a Top Ten Oral Advocate. His dedication to legal excellence was recognized with the prestigious Roscoe Anderson Award for Excellence in Advocacy. Bryan also holds a Master of Divinity degree from the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary and is a proud alumnus of William Jewell College, where he graduated with honors after a year of study at Oxford University. Before his tenure with the Missouri Attorney General’s office, Bryan successfully operated a solo law firm in Mount Vernon, Missouri, where he provided comprehensive legal services across various practice areas, including estate planning, litigation, and real estate transactions. His diverse background also includes five years with a nationally recognized AmLaw 200 firm, where he managed complex civil litigation cases in both state and federal courts nationwide. Bryan’s legal journey began as a Senior Assistant Prosecuting Attorney in Greene County, Missouri, where he adeptly prosecuted a wide range of criminal cases. His early legal career includes a pivotal role as a judicial law clerk for the Honorable Phillip Garrison of the Missouri Court of Appeals, where he played a significant part in shaping appellate opinions. Outside of his legal practice, Bryan is deeply engaged in his community, serving on the board of directors for the Springfield Boys Choirs and as a member of his local church's benevolence committee. His active participation in the church choir and worship team reflects his commitment to service and connection. Bryan is a proud member of the Missouri Bar, the Springfield Metropolitan Bar Association, and the United States District Court for the Western District of Missouri, continuing to advocate for his clients with passion and integrity.
