Brittany Bakken has been practicing immigration law since 2013. Brittany has extensive experience representing clients in all aspects of immigration law and immigration-related federal litigation. Brittany takes great pride in helping her clients understand their complex legal processes and collaborating to achieve their immigration goals expeditiously. Brittany has been named a Rising Star by Super Lawyers for 2020-2021. She has volunteered since 2014 with the Volunteer Lawyers Network to provide pro bono legal services at the Brooklyn Legal Clinic. She has been an author of the Minnesota CLE Immigration Practice Deskbook Deskbook since 2014. Brittany is a frequent speaker at CLEs in Minnesota and around the country. Prior to working in immigration law, Brittany worked in higher education, supporting programs that were dedicated to expanding access to undergrad and graduate-level education for historically underserved populations, diverse socio-economic learners, and immigrant communities. Brittany is admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court for the District of Minnesota and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit. Brittany obtained her J.D., magna cum laude, from the University of Minnesota. During law school, Brittany served as an articles editor for the Minnesota Law Review. She was also a supervising student attorney in both the Civil Practice and Child Advocacy Clinics.
