Brian Jeffrey Elbaum

About

Brian Jeffrey Elbaum is a seasoned personal injury attorney based in New York City, where he has dedicated over 25 years to advocating for clients in need. After earning his Juris Doctor from Brooklyn Law School in 1994, Brian embarked on his legal career with a clear vision: to offer personalized, client-focused representation free from the constraints of traditional law firm hierarchies. This entrepreneurial spirit led him to establish his own practice, Brian J. Elbaum, in 1996, just a few years after graduating from Rutgers University in 1991. From the outset, Brian demonstrated an unwavering commitment to his clients, often taking on challenging cases that other attorneys would shy away from. Working out of a modest sixth-floor walkup in Manhattan, he embraced the challenge of transforming difficult situations into successful outcomes, earning a reputation for his ability to turn "lemons into lemonade." Over the years, he has successfully represented over 900 clients throughout New York, including Queens, Brooklyn, the Bronx, Staten Island, Long Island, and even parts of New Jersey, in a diverse array of personal injury cases such as construction accidents, auto accidents, slip and falls, medical malpractice, and product liability. Brian’s practice is intentionally kept small, allowing for a focused, compassionate approach to each case. He believes that a smaller team fosters stronger attorney-client relationships, ensuring that every case receives the personal attention it deserves. His philosophy of being tough on adversaries while remaining empathetic toward clients has proven to be an effective strategy in the courtroom. Licensed to practice law in both New York and New Jersey, as well as federal courts, Brian is actively involved in the legal community. He is a Certified Member of the New York Trial Lawyers Association, the Brooklyn Bar Association, and the New York County Bar Association, reflecting his commitment to ongoing professional development and advocacy for his clients. With a steadfast dedication to justice and a wealth of experience, Brian Jeffrey Elbaum continues to make a significant impact in the lives of those he represents.
