Brett J. Riegel, Esq., a founding member of Anders, Riegel & Masington, LLC, is a distinguished attorney based in Pennsylvania with a robust focus on business litigation. A proud native of Berwick, Pennsylvania, Brett graduated at the top of his class in 1988, excelling not only academically but also as a multi-sport letter athlete, Eagle Scout, and dedicated community activist. He earned his Bachelor’s degree from Dickinson College, majoring in English and Dramatic Arts, which laid a strong foundation for his legal career. Brett completed his legal education at the Dickinson School of Law in Carlisle, where he honed his skills through rigorous participation in various advocacy programs, including the Appellate Moot Court Board and the American Trial Lawyers Association Trial Team. His commitment to real-world legal training was evident as he worked with the Pennsylvania State Education Association, supporting attorneys in complex cases involving unionized educators. Following law school, Brett enhanced his legal acumen during a clerkship with Judge Peter J. O'Brien at the Monroe County Court of Common Pleas. This experience provided him with invaluable insights into effective advocacy strategies within the local legal landscape. Subsequently, he co-founded Amori & Riegel, LLC, where he practiced for nearly 16 years, primarily focusing on litigation in criminal and family law. In 2012, Brett partnered with esteemed attorneys Marshall Anders and Nicholas J. Masington, III, to establish Anders, Riegel & Masington, LLC. Since then, he has adeptly managed hundreds of criminal cases across numerous judicial districts in Pennsylvania and New Jersey, including trials in both state and federal courts. His appellate work extends to the Commonwealth, Superior, and Supreme Courts of Pennsylvania, as well as the Federal 3rd Circuit Court of Appeals and the United States Supreme Court.
