About
Brett Gabriel Roberts, J.D., LL.M., is a dedicated estate planning attorney at Morrison Law Group, PLC, based in Louisiana. With a specialized focus on wills, trusts, and successions, Brett is committed to helping families safeguard their assets and navigate the complexities of the inheritance process with ease. His warm, client-centered approach fosters long-lasting relationships with families throughout the Northshore, ensuring that each client receives tailored estate planning solutions that meet their unique needs. A native of the Northshore, Brett earned his Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of New Orleans before embarking on a diverse career path that included serving as a law enforcement officer and working in major motion picture production in California. He subsequently pursued his legal education at Ave Maria School of Law in Naples, Florida, where he concentrated on Natural Law and Catholic Legal Studies. There, Brett engaged deeply with the intersection of Catholic theology and law, researching the philosophy of Saint Pope John Paul II on human ecology. His role as a senior editor for the Ave Maria Law Review and his clerkship at UCLA Law School’s Tribal Law Legal Development Clinic honed his advocacy skills, particularly in defending the rights of Indigenous communities. After earning his Juris Doctor, Brett further advanced his expertise with a Master of Laws (LL.M.) in Agricultural and Food Law from the University of Arkansas School of Law. His studies focused on critical issues such as land tenure, federal agricultural policy, and asset protection for farmers, solidifying his passion for estate planning. In addition to his robust legal background, Brett has contributed to the legal field through publications in both the Ave Maria Law Review and the Catholic Social Science Review. Before joining Morrison Law Group, PLC, he gained valuable experience in legal ethics and litigation, handling various disputes related to property damage and construction contracts. A proponent of continuous professional development, Brett actively participates in training sessions with the American Academy of Estate Planning Attorneys (AAEPA) and maintains memberships in several professional organizations, including the St. Tammany Bar Association and the Louisiana State Bar Association. Outside of his legal practice, Brett enjoys spending quality time with his wife, Hannah, and their son, Benedict. He is an avid basketball player, a community servant, and a regular attendee of daily Mass. At Morrison Law Group, PLC, Brett is passionate about empowering his clients—especially farmers and devout individuals—by providing thoughtful guidance on end-of-life ethical issues and ensuring financial prosperity for future generations.
