Barbara J. Aaby is an accomplished attorney based in Oswego, Oregon, specializing in personal injury and rail law. With over 30 years of legal experience, Barbara has built a reputation for her dedication to advocating for her clients' rights and well-being. A summa cum laude graduate of Ohio State University, she earned her Bachelor’s degree in 1973 before pursuing a Master's in Social Science Administration at Case Western Reserve University. In 1993, she graduated from Lewis and Clark College Northwestern School of Law, where she laid the foundation for a distinguished legal career. Barbara has been a proud member of the Oregon State Bar since her admission in 1993 and is actively involved in various legal organizations, including Oregon Women Lawyers and the Washington County Bar Association. Notably, she has served as the Chair of the American Bar Association Committee on Child Custody, where she contributed to the development of family law guidelines. She is also a contributing author to the Oregon State Bar Family Law Continuing Legal Education Book, focusing on topics such as the Uniform Child Custody Jurisdiction Act and parenting plans.
