Barbi was born and raised in Montgomery, where she attended LAMP High School, a nationally-ranked college preparatory school. She completed her undergraduate work at the University of Alabama in Birmingham, where she was accepted into the school’s prestigious University Honors Program, which only accepts fifty students a year. After College at UAB, Barbi attended law school at the University of Alabama School of Law in Tuscaloosa, where she received numerous awards for her trial advocacy skills, leadership skills and involvement in the law school. Barbi also served as the Managing Editor of the Law & Psychology Review, where she also had a legal article published. As part of the school’s trial advocacy and moot court teams, she won first place at the National Trial Advocacy Competition in one year and in another year advanced to the quarter-final rounds in moot court competition.
