Anne Marie Murphy is a graduate of Georgetown University Law Center. She specializes in consumer class actions and elder abuse litigation, although she has handled cases running the gamut from antitrust to human rights disputes. Ms. Murphy has been named to many top attorney lists, including the Daily Journal’s lists of top plaintiff attorneys and top women lawyers, and Super Lawyer’s lists of top attorneys in Northern California and top women lawyers. Ms. Murphy currently serves on the board of directors of Consumer Attorneys of California (CAOC) and California Advocates for Nursing Home Reform (CANHR), and is on the Advisory Board of Seven Tepees Youth Program. In 2010 she was appointed to the California Access to Justice Commission, where she continues to serve. Ms. Murphy has significant jury trial experience, in addition to overseeing numerous cases to successful settlement. Ms. Murphy has provided frequent commentary on consumer rights issues, including binding mandatory consumer arbitration, and has appeared on local as well as national news broadcasts including ABC 7 On Your Side (Cable 7), View From The Bay, Ring of Fire and Good Morning America (ABC). In addition, Ms. Murphy frequently lectures on trial practice, as well as substantive areas of law, including elder abuse, consumer rights and arbitration.
