About

Ankur Shah is the Managing Partner of Shah Legal Representation ("SLR"). Mr. Shah attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison and obtained degrees in Economics and Political Science before graduating from the law school at the University of Minnesota. After working on presidential, Illinois state office, and congressional races, Mr. Shah worked for a preeminent Judge presiding over an individual commercial calendar in the Law Division of the Circuit Court of Cook County which has over 800 active cases. Mr. Shah regularly provided draft opinions and memoranda for matters involving promissory notes, breach of contract, breach of fiduciary duties, consumer fraud, lease, RLTO, legal malpractice, defamation, and other commercial litigation. Later, Mr. Shah worked for boutique firms in the Chicago area handling personal injury, antitrust, intellectual property, real estate, securities, and other complex disputes where he obtained highly favorable results for his clients. Mr. Shah is the author of Increase Access to the Appellate Courts: A Critical Look At Modernizing the Final Judgment Rule published in the Seton Hall Circuit Review. He founded SLR after close to a decade of experience litigating cases in the state and federal courts.
