Andrew Ash Maberry is a dedicated attorney based in Metairie, Louisiana, with a fervent commitment to civil rights, medical malpractice, and wrongful death cases. A native of Shreveport, Andrew's journey into the legal field began after he earned his degree in communication studies from Louisiana State University in 2012. His early career in property management ignited a passion for advocating on behalf of others, leading him to pursue a legal education in New Orleans. In 2015, Andrew's aspirations took flight when he enrolled at Loyola University New Orleans, College of Law. His time in law school was marked by a strong desire to leverage his legal training to effect positive change. He actively participated in the Gillis Long Summer Internship Program, providing invaluable support to legal aid offices, and honed his practical skills as a student practitioner in the Loyola Law Clinic during his final year. Graduating in May 2019 with a certificate in Social Justice, Andrew was honored as the Social Justice Fellow, reflecting his dedication to equity and justice. Following his successful completion of the bar exam in July 2019, Andrew joined Southeast Louisiana Legal Services as a staff attorney. In this role, he championed the rights of low-income renters during the tumultuous COVID-19 pandemic and raised critical awareness around the housing crisis facing many Americans today. Andrew is licensed to practice in all Louisiana courts and has federal law privileges in the Eastern and Western Districts of Louisiana, as well as the Court of Appeals for the 5th Circuit. Outside of his legal practice, Andrew enjoys a vibrant life in Metairie with his husband and their two dogs. An avid concert-goer, he loves dancing at music festivals and attending Broadway shows at the Saenger Theatre. When he's not advocating for justice, you can find him cooking up a storm in the kitchen, showcasing his love for culinary arts.
