About
I was born and raised in Chicago. In 2004, I received a BA in Politics and Government from Illinois State University. After undergraduate, I attended law school at Hamline University School of Law in St. Paul, Minnesota. I also hold a master’s degree in Political Science from Northeastern Illinois University. While in law school, I was approved by the Minnesota Supreme Court to serve as a student attorney, allowing me to begin helping others before I was even an attorney. Also in law school, I received a certificate in alternative dispute resolution, which I use to help clients settle legal matters without having to go to court, thus saving them time, money, and headaches. I have been in private practice for over five years now, focusing on immigration and criminal defense. My experience also includes representing individuals in various civil litigation matters such as family law, estate planning, mortgage foreclosure defense, breach of contract, and accidents. I am admitted to the Illinois State Bar and the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois Bar. I am also admitted to the Federal Trial Bar because I have conducted over 60 trials and hearings. I use my love of my community and knowledge of the law to help others. In April 2013, I was voted in as a Trustee for the Village of Franklin Park. I am fluent in Spanish and a notary public.
