About
A long-time Cincinnatian, who returned to Cincinnati to the delight of her family, Allison loves helping blended US citizen/immigrant families to reunite. Her practice focuses primarily on family-based immigration law. Her experience includes: K-1 fiancée visas, I-130 relative petitions, I-485 adjustment of status, removal proceedings, U nonimmigrant visas, hardship waiver petitions, Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA), and other family-based immigration petitions. Allison has successfully assisted many families in navigating the murky immigration waters. Most notably, Allison has aided many immigrants in applying for and receiving hardship waivers in order to join their families in the U.S. For example, Allison aided a distraught citizen in achieving permanent residence for his wife after she was horribly injured following a Cesarean-section performed in Mexico. She also helps families with time sensitive K-1 fiancée cases so the foreign national bride or groom can make it to the wedding in the U.S. on time! In law school, Allison clerked for an immigration attorney in Omaha, Nebraska where she solidified her passion for immigration law. Also in law school, Allison traveled to Madrid, Spain for five months to study the Spanish and European legal systems and to enhance her Spanish-speaking skills. She enjoys travel, reading a wide variety of novels, and volunteering her time in the Hispanic community.
