Alex has practiced for nearly a decade the roles of in-house counsel, large firm attorney, and solo business attorney. Mr. Wall combines a knowledge of contracts and policies applied as general counsel to mid-sized companies in Oregon and Boston with his experience at Fried Frank in New York in high-stakes commercial litigation to provide valuable counsel and services to his clients. Alex has particular interest in businesses related to information technology, software, food, alternative energy and international trade. Alex is a CIPP/US from the International Assoc. of Privacy Pros., and understands the legal and security risks associated with data storage, processing and transfer. Alex is licensed in New York and Oregon, and is admitted to practice in both federal and state courts. Educational Background Alex received his B.A. from Colby College in Maine, studying primarily Economics, French, Japanese, East Asian History, and Physics. After several years of working in IT and education, Alex received his J.D. from the University of Maine. Interests Alex volunteers for and supports Donate Life Northwest, helps lead the Portland Chapter of Environmental Entrepreneurs (E2), and is a strong supporter of educational and workforce training causes. Alex, a frequent bike commuter, rode his bicycle from San Francisco to Maine with a friend after college. Alex is fascinated by language. He is fluent in French, has studied Japanese, German, and Spanish extensively, and is currently learning Mandarin. Alex, originally from Maine, enjoys bread baking, gardening and spending time with his wife and dog.
