Alanah Noel Griffith is a dedicated and accomplished attorney based in Big Sky, Montana, proudly representing the fifth generation of her family in the Treasure State. Growing up in the scenic Four Corners area of Bozeman, Alanah developed a deep-rooted appreciation for Montana's natural beauty and community spirit. After earning her B.A. summa cum laude in Philosophy and Psychology, alongside an honors minor in History of Ideas from North Central College in Naperville, Illinois, she returned to her beloved Montana, reaffirming her commitment to her home state. Alanah pursued her passion for law at the University of Montana School of Law, where she thrived as the symposium editor for the Montana Law Review and was an integral member of the award-winning Negotiation Team. Graduating with honors in 2002, she began her legal career as a law clerk for Gallatin County Judge Mark Guenther. During her two-year tenure, she gained invaluable experience working with 24 different district court judges across the state, honing her understanding of courtroom dynamics and legal procedures. Her exemplary contributions during this challenging period were recognized by the Montana Supreme Court. Transitioning into private practice, Alanah co-founded Griffith & Cummings, PLLC, where she focuses on business law, contract law, real estate law, construction law, and family-related legal matters such as guardianship, conservatorships, and adoptions. In addition to her legal expertise, she offers mediation services, providing clients with a holistic approach to conflict resolution. Alanah remains actively engaged in the Montana legal community, formerly serving as President of the New Lawyers Section, which fosters connections among new attorneys through community service initiatives. She is also a current member of the Professionalism Committee of the Montana Bar Association, dedicated to enhancing professionalism within the legal field. Her commitment extends to volunteering with local legal assistance programs, including the Community Mediation Center and the Gallatin Legal Assistance Clinic. Outside of her legal practice, Alanah enjoys an adventurous lifestyle with her husband, son, and their beloved pets, including a Chocolate lab and two Siberian Huskies. Together, they explore Montana's breathtaking landscapes through kayaking, rafting, hiking, and backcountry skiing. Alanah also dedicates time to community service as a Board Member for Reach, Inc., a nonprofit that empowers adults with disabilities to achieve their personal goals and live fulfilling lives.
