Allison Sanner is a dedicated attorney based in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, with a focus on general practice. Growing up in the close-knit community of Parker, she was inspired by her family's strong ties to the legal field. Her mother, Lana Sanner, served as a paralegal for renowned criminal defense attorney Michael Butler, providing Allison with an insider's view of the legal landscape from an early age. This invaluable exposure ignited her passion for law and set her on a path to becoming a first-generation lawyer. Allison earned her Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice from the University of South Dakota in 2019, followed by her Juris Doctor from the University of South Dakota Knudson School of Law in 2022. During her time in law school, she honed her skills through internships at Helsper, McCarty, and Rasmussen, as well as with the Attorney General’s Office in Sioux Falls. Following graduation, Allison further enriched her understanding of the judicial system by clerking for the Third Judicial Circuit of South Dakota, where she collaborated closely with six circuit court judges. This diverse experience has equipped her with a comprehensive perspective on the legal process, encompassing the roles of defense attorney, prosecutor, and judge. Outside of her legal practice, Allison enjoys engaging in group fitness classes, spending quality time with her family—especially her beloved niece and nephew—attending concerts with friends, and relaxing at home with her long-haired orange tabby, Lenny. With a commitment to her clients and a passion for the law, Allison Sanner is poised to make a meaningful impact in her community.
